Asha Cabaca is an artist from Ontario, Canada, who is currently based in Morgantown, West Virginia. Taking a multi-media approach to sculpture, she creates structures inspired by nature, industry, and absurdist literature. Currently, Asha works as a studio assistant for Morgantown-based sculptors Alison Helm and Jamie Lester.

Asha Cabaca graduated with her MFA in Sculpture from West Virginia University in May 2025. She also taught 3D Foundations and Introduction to Sculpture at WVU from 2022 to 2025. Asha recently exhibited her work in the 2025 Juliet Art Museum Invitational at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences in Charleston, WV. Asha’s MFA thesis exhibition F/UTILITY (2025), at the Laura Mesaros Gallery at the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center, examined the relationships between utility/futility and nature/industry. Functional Uncertainty (2024) at Owensboro Community and Technical College in Kentucky was her first solo show in the USA. Asha has previously exhibited her sculptures in New York, North Carolina, Maryland, Indiana, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Alabama, as well as in Ontario and Quebec in Canada.
